Where are your yarns sourced from?

All of our fibres are sourced from farms in South America, Australia and the UK that do not practice mulesing.

All of our yarns are milled and spun in Canada and the UK.

 

How do I care for my yarns?

Hand washing is highly recommend for all Myrtle Yarns (even superwash).  All non-superwash yarns should be gently hand washed in cold water using a pH-neutral soap (Eucalan is available in the shop) and dried flat.  Some minor colour bleeding may occur during the first time you wash your yarn/knits - especially with pinks or reds.  DO NOT machine wash non-superwash yarns.

How do you dye your yarns?

I dye all yarns in my home dye studio just outside of Vancouver, BC.  I use professional acid dyes that are formulated for wool and silk.  All yarns are gently washed and rinsed after dyeing to remove residual dye.  

How soon will my order ship?

In-stock yarns will be shipped out within 1-3 business days.
Dyed to order yarns will be shipped out within 2 to 4 weeks of the order being placed.

Do you have a store?

No - Myrtle Yarn is sold exlusively online or at the occasional yarn/fibre festival, but you can also find us at our official stockists!
